HI, I AM
Behavior change helped me lose over 100 lbs. I now apply behavior change science to help the world’s leading brands and write about the best of behavior change to help people.
Change is not easy, but…
I believe everyone has the personal potential to change their life. In fact, most have the knowledge needed to change our lives right now. What most could use is a change strategy, a process and a little help finding their purpose. Regardless of who you are and what you want to change, if you apply the right strategy, develop the right focus and align it with purpose – achieving anything is possible.
My life revolves around one powerful question: how do we create meaningful behavior change?
The mission is to communicate the new rules of behavior change = a set of behavior change principles, a strategy to consistently make better decisions, and a process for cultivating meaning and purpose to create sustainable change. Before I die, my relentless focus is on impacting millions of people to proactively change their lives.
LEARN THE LANDSCAPE
Most people fail to sustain change because they don’t understand the game of change. Learning the landscape simply boils down to understanding the hidden forces that help and hurt our change efforts. Think of it like trying to win a basketball game – we need to not just practice shooting or dribbling, but also know the rules, the court, and the opponents. By learning the landscape we can identify opportunities to make change last.
Change is not achieved by a single decision. Rather change requires a strategy and process to consistently make the right decisions, especially when odds are stacked against us. Knowing how to change is not enough. A strategy organizes our efforts to ensure progress. Whether sports, business or life having a strategy is key to success.
CREATE A MEANINGFUL LIFE
Behavior is not simply a matter of learning something and start making better decisions. If that were the case change would be much easier. Rather all behavior is baked with meaning, emotion and purpose – which are the missing ingredients in sustainable change. Without purpose and meaning—life becomes pointless and behavior change becomes impossible.
